September is upon us. The days are getting shorter. The temperature is getting cooler. Tans are beginning to fade. If you are anything like me, you may have realized that with the fading of your tan, your usual skin tone looks a little dull and dry. Well, do I have news for you!

A little back story before I get to the tale at hand. A few years ago, the Beauties at sarynaKEY Canada approached me to review their hair care lines, and of course I said yes! I had used their oil and was curious to see if their other products delivered…and yes, they did. Since then, I have always shared their product launches, contests and such via Instagram. Well, a week after my 47th birthday, yours truly won a prize! I won the body care line, sarynaKEY’s latest addition to the sarynaKEY line. Let me introduce you to Body Therapy by sarynaKEY. 

This luxurious line is, in a word, FABULOUS! I have dry, sensitive skin, so most scented products are not my friend. One of the pleasant surprises of this line is that I had no reaction to the scent…cue angels singing. Those of you with sensitive skin get me.

Increases natural glow and elasticity while providing a protective layer to protect against the elements. Apply while in the shower, after using Naked Break Body Shampoo. Apply all over, then rinse off! Literally only need a few seconds to treat and smooth your skin. *** this product can be a tad slippery so avoid using on the soles of your feet and rinse the shower after using so your significant other doesn’t slip.

Body Lotion – a light weight lotion that absorbs quickly. Rich with Shea Butter and a special combination of oils from high quality fruit packs this lotion with antioxidants, leaving your skin smooth and soft. For best results, apply to damp skin. …I have uses this on my feet. Works wonders on dry heels!

Hands Butter – my new favorite hand cream. The scent is heavenly. The Key to Damage Repair

I have a confession to make. Those familiar with my Salon Tales are already aware of my secret, so it is only fair the newcomers be in on it as well. I am  a bottled blonde…yes, I was born with platinum tresses. Alas, they slowly turned to brown and as I entered my thirties, I began to have my own 50+ shades of grey – hence the bottled blonde – this way when my grey roots appear I can say “it’s just the platinum”. Why the glimpse into my hair history? Well, I have found a lovely product line that I need to tell you about. It’s a lovely line for anyone who colors their hair. I am also bottle blonde who adores her flat iron, so my tresses are delicate and need tender loving care. For those of you with hair like mine, I feel your pain. You find a volumizing shampoo that gives you body and lift, but it leaves your hair looking and feeling like straw. You find a conditioning treatment to restore the life and softness to your tired tresses only to be left with lifeless and greasy strands. Well beauties, are you in for a treat! Those familiar with my Salon Tales, you know I am a believer that all things are possible. I am 42 and I still think a little pixie dust goes a long way. Today’s tale is a personal one – it’s going to be short, sweet and sassy – like yours truly.

Some great things have happened for me over the past weeks. Yours truly has been invited by sarynaKey to blog about their fabulous products and I will be a featured blogger on http://www.justpencilmein.ca .

Actually, some pretty fantastic things have been happening for me since I began my blog, from being published on websites like http://www.salonmagazine.ca to being invited to some pretty spectacular events, like the Contessa’s and Joico’s Spring Trend Show. Two of  the best things happened just last week. The first, as I was having coffee with an old friend. She told me that I looked fabulous – from the inside out. I agreed with her. I look in the mirror and I love what I see. I feel the spring in my step when I walk down the street or the grocery aisle.  I no longer fear the change room or trying on a new outfit. The second, my daughter told me I am laughing more. She is right, I am. I gotta admit it, once you start living the life you imagine for yourself and start believing in yourself, good things begin to happen. Not to get all “the Secret” on you, but, thoughts become things and what you focus on does become stronger….oh, and eating well and getting off your ass helps…who knew?!

To be clear, I still have melt down moments. I still lay in bed after shutting off my alarm whining that “I don’t wanna get up!”. I still get pissed off that things aren’t happening fast enough – as you all know – my patience is a work in process. I still look at my exercise bicycle and tell it “to stop mocking me”…and yes, I still venture through the drive thru. I am not as social as I once was – for now. You see, I married young and started a family and now I am focusing on my career, so my free time is precious and my daughter is about to be 18 and still likes to spend time with me and my hubby is still the cutest, sexiest and funniest guy I know – so they get first dibs.

May today’s tale give you that extra nudge you may need to go after what ever it is you want. It can happen. It can.
